Commitment to Child Safety

ACTiv Elite Performers is committed to providing a safe, supportive and empowering environment where every child and young person feels valued, respected and protected.

The safety, welfare and wellbeing of children is our highest priority.

We have zero tolerance for child abuse, grooming, bullying, harassment, discrimination or any behaviour that places a child at risk.

1. Our Commitment to the NSW Child Safe Standards

ACTiv Elite Performers actively promotes and implements the NSW Child Safe Standards and is committed to continual improvement in child safeguarding practices.

2. Student Rights

At ACTiv, every student has the right to:

  • Feel safe.

  • Be heard.

  • Be treated with respect.

  • Be included.

  • Ask for help.

  • Tell a trusted adult if something feels wrong.

3. Parent and Family Involvement

We believe families play an important role in promoting child safety and wellbeing.

We welcome feedback and encourage parents and carers to raise concerns, ideas or suggestions at any time.

4. Recruitment and Screening

All staff working with children hold valid Working With Children Checks.

ACTiv conducts reference checks, screening processes and child safe induction training for staff and contractors.

5. Online Safety

ACTiv uses approved communication platforms for educational purposes. Communication with students must remain professional, appropriate and related to studio activities.

6. Complaints and Reporting

If you have a concern:

  1. Contact our Child Safety Officer.

  2. Concerns will be treated seriously and confidentially.

  3. Appropriate action will be taken.

  4. Where required, matters will be referred to relevant authorities.

  • Strict drop off and pick up protocols

Student Voice

We encourage students to share ideas, concerns and feedback. We believe children should have a voice in decisions that affect them and we take their concerns seriously.
