Frequently asked questions for our ACTiv families
Can we trial a class?
Absolutely! We offer trial classes so your child can experience ACTiv before enrolling. Our team can recommend the most suitable class based on their age, experience and interests.
What should my child wear to their trial?
Comfortable clothing they can move in and a water bottle. No need to purchase a uniform before attending a trial class.
Does my child need previous experience?
Not at all! We welcome complete beginners through to advanced performers.
What age can children start classes?
Children can begin from age 2 in our preschool programs, with classes available right through to adults.
Can my child do more than one style?
Yes! Many students participate in multiple classes such as dance, drama, singing, acrobatics and aerial arts.
What happens if my child is shy?
That's completely normal. Our teachers are experienced in helping children build confidence at their own pace in a supportive environment.
What's the difference between ACTiv and other dance schools?
At ACTiv, students can access dance, drama, singing, acrobatics and aerial arts under one roof. We also produce two concerts and a full-scale musical theatre production each year.
Are your teachers qualified?
Our team consists of experienced industry professionals with qualifications and extensive performing arts experience. All staff have valid WWCC and will always put your child's safety first.
Do I have to stay with my child during class?
For most classes, parents are welcome to settle their child and then return at the end of class. Preschool classes have different arrangements.
