Concert Makeup Basics
Whilst we believe that you are beautiful the way you are, makeup is great way to enhance the look of a performance on stage. In this article, we go through all the basic tools, steps, tutorials and products to help you achieve the perfect stage makeup!
MAKEUP KIT BASICS
Some basic tools that you can include in your include, but are not limited too:
- Red lipstick
- Mascara
- Neutral eyeshadow palette
- Blush
- Eyeliner
- Makeup brushes

PLEASE NOTE: Base makeup such as foundation, concealer, bronzer, highlighter etc. are encouraged for our older performers who are capable of applying it themselves.
STAGE MAKEUP
Applying makeup for concerts is a bit different than every day makeup. All makeup should be heavier so it clear to see from the stage. Here are the steps to achieving the perfect stage makeup:
Please check the concert handbook to see what your child's makeup requirements are before continuing.
If appropriate, apply your base makeup (foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer)
Using a blush brush, sweep a decent amount blush from the top of the cheek up across the top of the cheek bone
Create a smokey eye using neutral/brown tones (if required)
Finish off the eye makeup with winged eyeliner, mascara and false lashes (we only encourage our older students to apply false lashes if they are capable of applying them)
Finish the look off with a bold red lip
