
Concert Hair Basics

Here are the basic tools and tips you need for concert ready hair!
TIPS BEFORE YOU START
- Know what the hair style you are doing should look like
- Have the student's hair clean
- Have all your tools handy
- Ensure the student has damp hair that is combed through (This can be achieved by spraying the hair with water using a spray bottle)
BASIC TOOLS FOR YOUR HAIR KIT
- Hair brush (preferably a Paddle brush)
- Tail comb - as it has the sectioning tool on the end
- Plenty of bobby pins (ensure they match the colour of the student's hair)
- Strong hair elastics (ensure they match the colour of the student's hair)
- Hair spray

EXTRA TOOLS FOR YOUR HAIR KIT - Spray bottle filled with water
- Hair gel
- Slick stick (available from Coles)
- Bun pins for Ballerinas (ensure they match the colour of the student's hair)
- Bun donut for Ballerinas (ensure donut matches colour of hair and is appropriate size for hair length)
- Bun nets for Ballerinas (ensure they match the colour of the student's hair)
